Light

A recent addition to my “Light” series was shot in Venice in September 2013. It was in the Fondazione Prada’s exhibition space in the historic Ca’ Corner della Regina that I was struck by the lanterns above the stairs illuminating the space and casting shadows above me. I photographed these lanterns in much the same way I photograph for my Flora Series - concentrating on the simple abstraction of graphic forms, light, and shadows.
